HPE smart rate multi-GbE ports provide scalable aggregation for dynamic segmentation, high-speed 802.11ac devices, VSF (virtual switching framework) stacking technology, robust QoS, security, 40 GbE line rate, and hitless failover.

The advanced Layer 2/3 feature set entails IPv4 BGP, OSPF, policy-based routing, and IPv6. They have a powerful ProVision ASIC that provides high speeds, unprecedented programmability, high capacity architecture, and offers support for SDN applications. With 6/12 compact slot chassis, 10 GbE ports with up to 96 line rates, and PoE+ 288 ports, the Aruba 5400 switch series also offers flexible connectivity options.
